WoW Forever Talent Data – Sources & Updates

See which snapshot powers the calculator, how recorded and inferred ranks differ, and what happens to shared builds when the data changes.

September 15, 2026 — imported preview snapshot

The calculator uses nine class files containing 469 talents, imported from the community project Deradon/wow-forever-talent-calc at commit 0bc85aa239c2dfca79345986db07b57ccd7aaa9b. The data were transcribed from BlizzCon 2026 footage. This is not an official Blizzard dataset.

Read the exact source snapshot

Individual talent records contain source footage timestamps, observed-rank markers, and transcription notes. Follow the source links in each class reference to inspect the original footage.

Understand confidence labels

  • Recorded from footage: the community dataset marks that rank as observed. This does not mean we independently verified the transcription.
  • Unconfirmed / inferred: the value may come from a Classic prior, proportional estimate, or incomplete tooltip. It should not be treated as a final value.
  • Provisional rules: the point cap, tier requirements, and some inferred prerequisite ranks still need confirmation against the game.

Build compatibility

Each share link carries the class and data version. Reordering talent records does not change allocations because links use stable IDs. Changes that can invalidate builds require a data-version update. Incompatible links show an error and load no points; the calculator does not silently reinterpret them.

Saved builds stay in this browser and remain subject to the same version checks. Copy a share link if you need to move a build to another device.

Update policy

When the imported talent data change, this page should record the date, affected classes, source revision, and any build-compatibility impact. A page redesign or wording correction is not a new talent snapshot. The date above records the actual import, not an automatic “updated today” claim.
