WoW Classic vs Forever – Talents & Build Compatibility
Looking for a Classic talent calculator? Check the version first. This site uses community WoW Forever preview trees, so a familiar talent name does not guarantee the same ranks, position, or prerequisites as Classic Era.
Which calculator do you need?
If you are planning a Classic Era character, use a calculator explicitly maintained for Classic Era. If you are exploring the Forever preview, use the Forever calculator here. Searches such as “Classic Forever talents” and “Warcraft Forever talent calculator” can lead here, but the dataset is specifically the Forever community preview.

We do not yet have an independently checked Classic baseline for a complete side-by-side diff. This page does not label talents as “new,” “removed,” or “unchanged” based only on name matching.
Preview choices to inspect on Shaman
The current transcription places Stormstrike in Enhancement’s fourth row, Water Shield in Restoration’s third row, and Lava Burst in Elemental Combat’s final row. These are observations about our imported preview, not independently verified comparisons with Era.
Check sources before moving a build between versions
Compare the full description, maximum ranks, row, and prerequisites. A rank copied from a Classic prior is an estimate for this preview, not confirmation that the two games share that value.
